But I'll do my best to cram in a few highlights!
Hmm.
Nothing too extraordinary happened on Monday or Tuesday.......just kept trekking along as missionaries always do. :)
Wednesday we had Zone Conference in Olympia and Sister Rosenvall and I had to give a training on Daily Planning. That was pretty scary. We were slightly stressed preparing for it, but then after we had it all planned out and ready to go we were feeling excited and prepared. But as we drove into the church parking lot, I looked at Sister Rosenvall and said "Wow, my stomach just started hurting. I feel nauseous!" And she looked at me and said "Me too!" And then we started that nervous giggle that happens when you're nauseous and nervous and we couldn't stop laughing. It was awful.
But just like I've learned over and over and over and over and over and over and over... the anticipation is the worst part of anything new! I need to write that on sticky notes and put it everywhere so I remember because I go through this process every time. It's NEVER as bad as I think it's going to be.
So, we had zone conference, and we gave the training and it was great! We even had all these ideas to help us get through it without vomiting and we didn't have to use any of them until the last group. (There were 3 groups, the last one had two zones combined) One of our ideas was to go in there and say "Okay, we're going to start with a little activity. We need all of you to close your eyes and keep them closed." And then we would just start teaching and they wouldn't be looking at us. We didn't use that the first two groups, but we tried it on the last group, and they were so obedient! They all closed their eyes and kept them closed! It was funny.
We made it through and now everyone knows how to daily plan effectively! (Us included!)
We taught seminary again on Thursday. That was fun. I enjoy seminary a lot more now that it's not a requirement! ;)
On Friday, we got up early and drove to the family history center so I could sign up for classes. I'm definitely not a fan of this whole mixing college and mission thing. I wish college would just stay out of my life until I have to get there, but that's okay. No worries. Anticipation is worse than the actual thing!
Also, Friday was April 1st. And I love April fools day. I also love April because it is the best month! All the best people were born in April. Jesus ....and me!
We did some service at the Food bank and we did a lot of finding. We also had a really great lesson with Michelle and Cale! Michelle has been thinking a lot about being baptized and she said "So, I've had a date pop into my mind over and over again... and I haven't told you yet (talking to Cale) because it's sooner than you think and also you'll have to move out....but April 28th keeps coming to my mind..." WOO HOO! The ward might have a problem with the date because it's on a Monday... but, she prayed and she received her own answer, and so we'll do whatever it takes to get her ready for that day! Because that date comes to her mind for a reason!
So, we got home little late because they live forever and ever away from us, but it was worth it because they are the best family ever!
When we got home we texted the zone leaders and told them about the lesson and then told them that we just found out that we were being emergency transferred to Olympia because some sisters were struggling there.... (ha not really!) and they called us within a minute saying "What's going on!?!?" haha So funny. I couldn't go the whole day without at least one prank.
They probably won't ever trust us again.
Saturday and Sunday were General Conference! The talks were all really good and if you didn't watch them then you should!
ANNDDDD that was our weeek!
I think my spiritual thought will just be what we learned from Elder Holland yesterday.
The first and greatest Commandment is to love God with all your heart, might, mind, and strength.
BUT the first great TRUTH of the Gospel is that GOD LOVES US with all His heart, and with all His might, and with all His mind and with all His strength.
Don't ever forget it!
I love you all! I hope you have the best week ever! I hope the sun shines on you wherever you are!
Love,
Sister Warburton
The sunset was much prettier in person. |
After Conference, Bishop Brulotte invited us over for ice cream because Elder Holland pretty much said to do so. |
Horses. |
Just working hard... |
More hard work. |
Daffodils
|
Tree hugging.
|
Once again... the sunset looked way prettier in person. |
A very blurry picture of my second dog bite. :/ I feel like I deserve a bruise because it hurt, but I don't have any battle wounds or scars. Rude. |
Switching name tags for April Fool's day. |
Here's a better one with our name tags switched. |
A picture to go along with the phrase "Elma ROCKS!" |
Along the boony roads people decorate allllll the trees with beer cans. I've seen hundreds of beer cans on trees. It's kind of disgusting. |
Dandelions. |
Cherry blossoms |
Am I the cutest vaccuumer/ghost buster or what? ;) |
My area has a bunch of these fun bridges. I like them. |
I like to take pictures and videos of Sister Rosenvall when she is studying or doing something. It's really funny. |
